It doesn't work like that. You can't build an online store using some website builder, and then just upload your files to a host later.
An online store is a dynamic (not static) website, which means that it needs a web server, database server (MySQL) and PHP to function. Your products have to be in a database, and not in a bunch of static files. This is not how ecommerce websites function.
So basically you need to setup hosting right away.
There are hosts which include everything you need:
1. Hosting
2. A Domain name
3. One click install of osCommerce (and a couple of other e-commerce stores)
For less than $50/year.

Hi soundgear.com uses nscommerce space which is around $26 per month and available from http://www.networksolutions.com/small-business/e-c...
Prestashop however is pretty good and available as a free download, modules such as PayPal and Google Checkout can be easily configured through the backend. You can also create your own Theme or download pre made themes to change the appearance of the website.
You will however need to some website hosting and a My SQL database as with Most eCommerce websites.
If you wanted a more advanced type of payment system such as Sage Pay Direct, World Pay etc you will need hosting that includes the ability to install an SSL certificate ( !note Shared SSL's like what some Hosting companies offer are pretty useless).
I've never used Magento personally but I have been told that is also pretty good and configurable.
Hope this helps Kind regards

Building an eCommerce website can cost you anything between few hundred dollars to thousands of dollars. Those open source solutions, e.g. OSCommerce is great to use if you know web programming well. But if you know nothing about web programming, you would have a hard time just to install the scripts.
Most website builder software allows you to build a simple site only, and any shopping cart function requires programming knowledge. If you only need to add products with a fix price (i.e. no bundle or discount prices), you can give A4Desk (http://www.a4deskpro.com)/ a try -- which comes with a built-in photo gallery for you to display products, and a built-in shopping cart for you easily add items for sell, and accept payments to your PayPal a/c.
The website builder software, which install on her own PC can be used to build any number of websites, and comes with many templates you can use to build website quickly without learning any coding, with the shopping cart enabled. And only cost a fixed price (free during trial period)

As you may know a domain name is just a name, not a real website. If you are going to create your website: 1- Buy a domain name. A domain name is a name you want to call your website (ex: www.yahoo.com). To get a domain name, you have to pay an annual fee to a registrar for the right to use that name. 2- Buy a web hosting service to provide your online space and enable you to get your website online at your purchased domain name.

You need a web hosting service which supports online payments like, Master Card, Visa & PayPal. It is very important that your service be uptime. It means that you can access your account whenever you want to update your web pages, and your visitors can view your website whenever they type your website address. If your hosting service is not uptime it is real hell!
If you want to start your website I recommend purchase your domain and hosting together. In this way it is possible to get your domain for free. Some hosting services offer this gift today.
Take a look at:
http://www.threehosts.com/business
There you can reach the three reputable companies that are leaders in the E-commerce web hosting industry. They fulfill all your requirements to sell online or do/accept any online payments. By using each of them, everything you need for such a website is provided in one business Hosting Package.
Hope this helps.

A SSL can run you $20 to $80 a year. Read the first link. There are advantages to being a storefront on Amazon as they are included in web search engines. On the other hand the way you're going about setting up a store allows you to claim exclusive ownership of the store. GoDaddy I am leery of. If you don't pay your bill GoDaddy and/or Amazon appropriate you web name and sell it to anybody that wants that name.
