Can Michael Jackson exceed the album sales of the Beatles?
I've been pondering about this for quite a while, if I do say so myself.
Albeit, the Beatles have released more albums and established themselves far earlier, is this prospect a possibility, on Michael Jackon's part? Let us not forget that a posthumous album will be released by the end of 2010, and many have predicted more of MJ's unreleased material will surface in album form in the near future due to the $250m deal Sony made with Jackson's estate.
At the moment, he is ranked #3 behind the Beatles and Elvis as far as worldwide sales are concerned, specifically at 750m +.

You are right my friend so anyone who uses the argument that the Beatles have exceeded his sales are incorrect, because Michael has only been dead a year. Wait until another generation hears his music and another generation of fans...and as you say his album. You'll see. Michael Jackson isn't like the beatles the "goofy music mum and dad listen to" Michael Jackson's music is timeless. I work in a preschool and I've had about 7 of the children really into his music. New generations will still find his music cool. 10-20 years after Michael's death he will have exceeded the Beatles. By far.

Well if I am correct the Beatles made around 21 albums and Michael made around 8 in the beginning now he has more and out of those 8 at least 5 of them are in the best selling category. And he may have sold more with just 8 albums more than the beatles would have with just 8 albums but I do believe that he will sell more.
