Please help!: If you are an Australian Buddhist or know of a site with an interview with one?
Im doing an assignment for SOR (study of religion) and as part of it i need to know a bit about how buddhists in australia live out their faith and how it affects their life.
I've looked over the net and can't find anything relevant.
So, if you are an Australian Buddhist please tell me your view on any or all of the following:
1. suffering
2. Do you prepare food in a particular way?
3. Do you have any daily/weekly ceremonies or rituals you conduct?
4. How does life in Australia effect/change you?

Gee, i never thought of that. The reason i haven't found anything is bc i need to know about it in a CONTEMPORARY context in AUSTRALIA. I know all about the textbook definition of suffering.
If anyone else supplies an answer i will choose it as best over suey's.

Mate,
the areas in which you require info don't seem that specific to be neglected from a suitably worded google search. In particular suffering, does immediately strike me as a potential hot spot of information. Perhaps search again however using yahoo or ninemsn or bing search engines to open up some new results or reword the way in which you've imputed the question or even try the classic search style of separating the key ideas you want with a plus sign; Buddhism + Suffering
