What war? If World War 2, just visiting them and letting them know you appreciate their service is great, there are parades around are there not? They are great events to honor veterans of all wars at, also, Veterans day should have an event at a school or around town.
Veterans are not baby killers or war criminals, the Nazis were war criminals for the holocaust.
