If they were to drill a hole through the center of the earth all the way to the other side?

..... and someone was to fall in...... do you think they would build up enough momentum to pop up on the other side or would they just get stuck in the middle because of gravity?

Update:

Do you think it's a good idea, or should I fill in the hole I started digging?

Gravity would probably be close to nuetral, since both sides would cancel each other out, but even if there was gravity, it would'nt stop anyone from moving, after all, gravity would be strongest on the surface of the Earth, and we can move around okay. So it would weaken at we went down into the Earth, become nuetral and then start getting stronger as we neared the other side.

And we would be toast anyway, or look like roasted marshmellows.

As for your hole, if you do not get to the middle in the next 200 years, then you should stop digging.

well, the earth would explode firstly. but lets say that doesn't happen. The person would continue to accelerate until they reach the core, then they'd rocket towards the other side slowly loosing momentum. They'd make it just to the other side before falling back in (depending on the friction)

no, you could purchase a rather large gold chain and put it through the holes and wear it as a bead on a chain around your neck...

They would burn up once they reached a close enough spot to the core
