Staying at the Paris Hotel?

Has anyone been there lately? I'm booking 2 nights for $317 in a red room. Does that sound like a good deal? Or am I better off at the MGM for $100 less? Thanks!

Since you don't spend that much time in the room, I would take the better deal at MGM. Both have great rooms. Spent the money saved on a show or special dinner or gaming.

I have stayed in a Paris Red Room many times. If it's a Premier Red Room it will have a beautiful view of the strip and most likely the Bellagio Fountains. The P rooms are always at the end of the hall, are larger and quieter because of their location. The rooms have about a 46" plasma tv, single cup drip coffee maker and very nicely decorated. Also use your players card in the Paris casino. If you booked directly with Paris then check with a casino host before checking out. Sometimes they will comp some or all of your room charges.

As for comparing Paris to MGM for the $100 difference ...... The MGM is at the far South end of the strip, sometimes you have a 15 minute hike to your room and MGM doesn't comp as much compared to HET/Harrah's (Paris, Caesar's, Bally's, Flamingo, Planet Hollywood, Harrah's, Imperial Palace and Rio). The MGM properties have a resort fee tacked on to your room rate. Was the $100 difference computed before or after the Resort Fee was added in?

What day of the week are you paying $317? If it's a Friday and Saturday then it's a good deal.Any other day, its not. I personally like the MGM Grand better because their rooms are bigger and you get a better deal for your money there.

Paris is in a great location, you have planet hollywood to the left, bellagio and casars accross the street, the new Aria hotel at city center accross the street. Flamingo, O'sheas, all right there. Maybe get a less expensive room at Paris, I mean really a bed is a bed to me, you are not moving into the hotel, just spending a few NIGHTS. Good luck on your decision.

I agree with the other answers however Paris is pretty much mid strip near all of the action.

Wow, that sounds like a lot. For as much time as I typically stay in my room I would definitely take the less expensive room.

That leaves more money for gambling, partying, shopping....

    Paris is more centrally located.

prices for vegas rooms vary greatly depending on weekend, holidays, or time of year.
