Algebra question! please help! trying to help my cousin!?

we are simplifing numbers with rational fractions.

(-245) 1/5 as the exponent

so we know that it would be (-7)2 X5

which would be (-35)to the 3 power

so ((-35)3) 1/5

one the calc we divided 1/5=.2

multiply by the 3=.6

(-35)0.6 as the exponent

what would i do on my calc to finish solving it!

    To tell you the truth, I have no idea where you got your numbers from. But if you wanted to figure out how to solve that question on your calculator, simply

    Type in:

    (-245)^(1/5)

    Exactly the way I have above, and you'll have your answer.
