Why have i had this pain for 4-5 hours?

For the last 4-5 hours, the middle of my upper right arm has been in throbbing pain. Sometimes going away if I lay it in a certain way or position. Even took a off brand pain reliever, but to no avail will this pain go away.

I am overweight in my early 20's. I also yesterday for the first time in a long while, violently moved my arm around and it felt slightly sore most of the day as it would after weight lifting or something similar.

Anyone got any idea as to why its hurting so long?

You may have strained a muscle in your arm. Do you have a compression sleeve--or ace bandage you could wrap it with? That often gives some relief. It may be sore for a while, so try not to use it as much.

If it starts to swell, or the skin turn blue or feel very hot, I would see the doctor.

Sometimes a cool compress/ice pak wrapped in a towel might make it feel better.

AS for pain relief? Tylenol will do very little--but something with Ibuprofen, such as Motrin or Advil (400-600 milligrams) may help the pain. It is an anti-inflammatory, as well as a pain killer.

    Good luck.

It all is dependent upon the game your gambling. I run Cross Country and Track and whilst I get a harm like a pressure fracture or a sprain I speak to my health practitioner first. Your health practitioner will provide you the pass forward or now not relying at the trouble. I could significantly endorse speakme to a health practitioner or your sprain would get plenty worse. Hope this is helping
