need to find mid placement foot controls for v-star 650.?

we have a v-star 650 custom and would like to replace the stock forward controls with more standard mid mount controls. this is my wife's first bike and i feel the mid mounted pegs and shift/brake controls would be better for her beginning experiences. she is somewhat short legged and i consider this setup better for her to learn with. i haven't been able to find any conversion kit to do this, and am hoping someone has done this before.
