If you have a strong voice, try something like Christina Aguilar or Maria Carey.

If not go for something that everyone loves, No Doubt.

pick a few songs that you like and wouldn't mind singing in front of people. that's the most important part, you don't want to do a song that you hate, and it'll be easier for you to perform if you actually like the song. next, check your vocal range against the songs. can you hit the highest note? can you hit the lowest note? if you can't, maybe changing the key a bit so you can, but that poses the issue of sheet music / accompaniment. either way, just go through the songs that you like and go from there. and have fun! <3
