Why are there so many Ignorant Mac Users?!?

Dear Yahoo Answers, Lately I've noticed a plague on this site. That plague of course, is the typical ignorant mac user. I absolutely love how ignorant these people are. Making statements like "Macs don't get viruses." And whenever someone posts a question regarding a legitimate computer problem. These loosers swoop in and reply with "Haha shoulda bought a mac!" .... I'd like to know If I'm the only one annoyed at these ignorant little bastards, and why so many of them choose to believe they are better then the rest of the world because they have a mac. The truth is, MACS GET VIRUSES. YES ITS TRUE!! IT HAPPENS! I'm not being a fanboy or altering facts here, I'm just telling the truth. MACS GET VIRUSES.... There are just so many facts out there that back up that statement, and there are tons of more facts that are available to any computer buyer interested in buying a computer. Regarding to apples low grade hardware, and yet they charge roughly $400.00 dollars more for their computers. HOW ARE THEY SUPERIOR?! JUST BECAUSE YOU PAID MORE FOR THEM!? Congratulations, you are now just like one of those rich teenage girls on "MY SWEET 16" on MTV... You feel you are superior to everyone, and completely ignorant to how things really work.

The answers are all around us, why people choose to not see them, I guess I will never know. Mac users, just hear my warning. When the mac to pc ratio shifts. And there are more macs then pc's.... Be prepared to a swarm of viruses. Because viruses makers are attracted to the majority of the population. The more computers they infect, the more money they make. Since there are more PC's then macs. There are more PC Viruses. Once that changes however, your protective bubble will be popped, and your operating system will be slammed with many viruses. Mac Users, be prepared to invest in antivirus software...

Update:

Excessive MHZ.... You are the MAN! haha

I don't know about you, but I'm not ignorant. Macs got viruses in the days of OS9 and earlier.

There are no true Mac OSX viruses because Unix is written differently than NT or Dos based Windows.

Modifying important stuff requires an admin password. In Windows that is not so. Ubuntu Linux doesn't even have a Root account for the same reason. Editing the registry in Windows doesn't require a password. Why??? The registry is everything.

Unix/OSX/Linux has something far safer than a registry, they have numerical value file ownership.

It it doesn't belong to you, you can't touch it.

There is some worm/rootkit malware for Macs but it doesn't spread by itself. If you pirate Mac software like iWork or try to watch porn on a fake porn site you can get hacked. With Windows 7, finally Bill got smart and sandboxed anything that comes from the internet. Now with any modern OS you have to deliberately run something that came in over the net. With Snow Leo I have to click yes to run a download, then yes again if it requires a password. If something wants a password to install and I don't know where it came from and why, then into the trash it goes.

It should have been that way from day one.

I will admit Macs get hacked less in part because the higher cost of macs weeds out the casual id10t users that get Windows because it's common and cheap.

I know Macs can get viruses. I use Norton Antivirus 11 for my Mac. If you actually read the website, Macs don't get "PC" viruses. A lot of people confuse it that Macs don't get viruses. There are Mac viruses out there. Macs also require maintenance, that's why I use the OnyX and CleanMyMac apps. I repair disk permissions, run cleaning scripts, and clean my Mac about once a week. I also check for software updates daily so I can stay up to date on my security updates, just like a PC. Yes, Macs are expensive, but I've spent more on PCs than on this MacBook. I don't feel Macs are superior to PCs or PCs are superior to Macs. I just think it's a different operating system and I like it better, so what?

Ignoring the stereotype/generalization (i'm a Mac consumer)... Macs are not infallible. No computer is. Any severe computer consumer knows that (i'm a IT community/device representative). If it should be equipped, it should be damaged. although, Macs ARE extremely good at controlling their computing ecosystem which simplifies product help and obstacles the conceivable motives of complications (ie. proscribing the transformations on hardware, limits the conceivable subject matters motives by utilizing a rogue piece of hardware or driver). that is what individuals are paying a suitable fee for -- an user-friendly to apply, extremely not user-friendly to break (by coincidence), element-and-click ecosystem. no longer unavoidably extra positive hardware.

People need an excuse because they already feel ridiculous spending twice as much for exactly the same hardware. I don't blame them, if I made a idiotic terrible decision such as buying an overpriced mac then I'd comfort myself by doing the same thing.
