Can I promote my business on a blogging site.?

It depends what you mean really...

If you mean on someone else's blog, then blatant promotion will very likely be frowned upon because if they've spent time writing an informative post about a subject and you add a comment that bares no relation to the post but is just a promo for your company then they'll not be too impressed!

However, what you can do is leave a comment that is relevant to the post and then leave a link to your website at the end. This gives you the benefit of a link to your website.

On the other hand though of course, you can set up your very own blog, either as part of your site or on bl;ogger.com or wordpress.com. And because this is your own blog, you are free to fill it with as much blatant promotion as you wish.

Sure you can promote your business on blogging sites there are many ways to do this. You can post useful comments on a blog especially the ones that use a plug-in called "comment luv" a lot these blogs are do follow as well so you can get back links back to your site that way. Just make sure your comment is relevant to the post and you should be ok. If you comment on it with just a thank you for the informative post most likely it is going to look like spam to the owner of the site and they are going to trash it. SO make sure it's relevant and you should be good to go.

So can you promote your business on a blogging site sure. If you want you can even create your blogging site. make sure you have some useful articles and promote your site as an advertisement.

I would recommend using your hosting account and create a word press blog that way you have more control over it. But you can use blogger if you like which is owned by google.
