Just try breathing slowly. Stop for a second, and breath in deeply. Tell yourself in your mind that you have gone through a panic attack before and you lived, and this attack is no different. Laugh out loud at it and do reverse psychology on it. When you lapse, immediately get involved in something to keep your mind instantly busy to take your mind off the immediate thoughts

Yes. I have these symptoms too. My fear comes mostly when I am sick and wake up at midnight. The symptoms (short of breath, burning sensations in hand and legs, stomach discomfort, shaky body, blocked nose, throat pain) always make me feel extremely frightened in the dark and feel like I were going to die soon and almost want to call 911. This extreme panic usually lasts for about an hour then I start to feel better. After a night like this, the fear would follow me into the ensuing day and affect me a lot. :(

makes me laugh when people say you need to see a physc? especially when they havent expreienced a panic attack them selves...lol.. I have a happy life etc when i started suffering with panic attacks..it can happen to anybody at any time..no matter who you are etc.. I found that reading about them helps..so you can understand them better and how 2 deal with them.I find relaxtion like yoga or exercise helps..but yeah 4months down the line i feel alot better..have abit confidence in your self and remember that panic atacks cant physically hurt you..no matter whats goin through your head...but you can def get over your panic attacks or at least learn how to handle them..good luck.. but dont worry you wont need to see a shrink! lol
