2001 chevy lumina break question?

i'm getting ready to switch out my breaks on my 2001 chevy lumina and i have one question, will breaking the lines loose or anything that i have to do to the breaks mess with the ABS sensor or any other sensors? if so how do you disconnect them or reset them? i know on older cars it doesn't affect anything but i have no clue on newer cars.

just works the same as older cars, your ABS will be fine.

See if you can use one of those "head gasket repair in a can" type of thing. They get good reviews on Amazon. Otherwise the price figures quoted by others look accurate. However, if you have a garage and a lot of free time, and a spare car to drive for a few weeks, you might be able to do it yourself. I once did a lower intake manifold gasket like that. Took me three weeks which was three full weekends and two evenings during the week. A lot of the time was cleaning the parts i removed before I reinstalled. Once I had that done, putting the whole thing back together really only took a day.

you change the brakes just the same way you do any other car, just watch you don,t break the sensors. why would you take the lines off to change the brakes?

No, it will have no effect on the ABS sensor or any other sensors
