If I only get worker ants, will I get a queen?

I heard that without the phermone from the queen the ants develop a new queen. One of them becomes fertile and starts reproducing more.

I gathere a lot of workers that did all day. But I want to know if they can make their own queen

the new queen would be developed from the growing larvae, not from the adult workers...many of the common ants species found around the house will have multiple queens throughout the nest
