If you want to compare based on sheer power the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS has an engine that produces 426 horsepower. The 2010 Chevrolet Silverado LTZ 1500 has an engine that puts out 403 horsepower. The Silverado can tow up to 10,700 pounds. The Camaro comes standard with a manual transmission. The Camaro is new for the 2010 model year and there are a few changes for the 2011 model year. The Silverado is also receiving a few changes for 2011. Overall they are both very good and reliable vehicles.

I think the Camaro. The V8 Ford Mustang GT only packs 314hp while the V6 Chevy Camaro has 304hp, and is significantly cheaper, with the LS model starting at $23,000. The V8 Chevy Camaro packs 426hp and a base SS will cost around $33,000, which I believe is still cheaper than the GT. But, that's just me. I'd take a new Camaro over a new Mustang any day.

I would chose the Silverado. I think it does cost more and probably has worse gas mileage, but it is more of an everyday car. A Camaro is more of a 3rd car (you and your wife/husband has one and then you have a summer sports car thing). The Silverado holds more people comfortably and more things. Stick with 1500 because the next one is 2500 HD, which is huge. My friend has a Ford f-350 7.3L engine and he cant do any city driving with it. He has to stop back it up and all of that just to turn into a parking lot.

Silverado! I've had a Z 71 for 10 years. It's the best vehicle I've ever owned. It still looks new and runs great. Besides, a truck holds its value better then any car. I've had muscle cars and all they are good for is tickets. lol. Plus with a truck you can make money with it. One warning though. Once you get a truck you'll be suprised at how many times you'll be asked to help people move. I've learned to say no! Chicks like trucks too.

You're comparing apples to oranges here. There is no "right" answer until you tell us what YOU plan on doing with the vehicle.

The truck could be a great choice if it fits lifestyle or the Camaro is a better choice....again without telling us the main purpose of the vehicle it's a guessing game.
