Remembering homework?

How can my child remember to bring home everything she needs for homework? She's in 2nd grade and her teacher isn't good about reminding her at dismissal time.

Well, if the school doesn't provide them with assignment notebooks (for a small fee of like $5) then I'd either

    A) go buy one for her and teach her how to write down all her subjects and write down what the assignment is for each subject, and then have her check it off if she gets it done in class so she knows what to bring home. It makes for good organizational habits for high school and college.

    or

    B) Make assignment sheets for her and make copies of them, and send one with her everyday. Again, showing her how to fill out each line (I suggest writing down all the subjects they study in class, and making lines next to each one) with her homework assignment, and provide her with a little check box to check it off when she is done with it. Make a sort of game out of it, if she remembers to do her assignment journal x amount of days, reward her with a little praise, and maybe a little treat.

I suggest possibly emailing her teacher as well just to see if she can kind of over see the teaching your are doing at home, and maybe initial her assignment notebook or assignment sheet each day, so your daughter remembers.
