If you have your Windows XP install CD, pop it in the tray and restart the computer. Your computer should boot into the CD up to a menu - select "Recovery Console." This will bring you to a command prompt, just type "fixmbr" without quotes and press enter. When the command has finished, you can restart your computer and take out the CD before it restarts.

Hope this fixes the issue (Windows XP-specific)
