Should I drop Jair Jurjens?

He's on the DL right now and all my DL slots are filled. He can be great but I'm not sure what to do because he's been awful this year.

Who do you have on your DL right now? Who are some guys available right now? That would be good to know.

I would try and keep Jurrjens though, assuming you don't have a better option on waivers right now. Jurrjens is an established pitcher and a lot of his struggles thus far this season has to do with an injury that has caused a significant drop in his velocity. He has lots of potential and is worth much more than what his stats have shown thus far this season. Again though, I'm just saying if I didn't have any better options available, I'd rather keep him stashed than dropping him.

It seems hopeless for him but you have to consider

    he is

1 in the national league( makes everything easier)

2 a young pitcher( still has to learn his pitches and approaches)

and he was top 10 in ERA Last season

iwould keep him but if you want to drop him. trade him after he has a decent start so you get someone back at least

Absolutely NOT. Jurijens is a great pitcher who will come around. Its unfortunate he's on the DL, but you need to just wait it out.

yes, he won't be like he was last year, and all he's doing now is hurting your team and taking up space, try to pick up randy wells or mitch talbot. theyre both quality guys who are available in most leagues
