Super Record or Dura Ace?

Just for I am wondering what people prefer for their road bikes. Shimano Dura Ace or Campagnolo Super Record and why?

I use a combo of Dura-Ace and Ultegra on my TCR. There is nothing wrong with Campy parts but if you go Campy you have to stay with Campy as the rear hub will not accept SRAM or Shimano cassettes.

Both companies make good components. My bikes use Campy groupsets, one has a Record/Chorus mix, one is Chorus, and a third is a Centaur/Chorus mix. Super Record looks very nice, but is also very expensive. What I like about Campy is the durability/rebuildability which you don't get with Shimano. My take is that if you currently have a bike with Shimano, stick with it because it is expensive to try to run 2 different systems. I have extra wheels so that I can switch them back and forth. Campagnolo does have the current advantage of having 11 rather than 10 speeds, but it does not have an electric shift group like Shimano. You have to weigh the pros and cons. My take is that if you buy a Campy group, it will last longer if that matters to you. My brother is still using a Chorus 9 speed group that I bought second hand years ago. I had the shifters rebuilt just before he bought it from me and it still works perfectly. You couldn't do that with a Shimano group.

A lot of what people prefer is based on what they have been using. I've been riding with Shimano style integrated shifters for a long time. Riding with the Campy thumb lever or the SRAM double-tap is just different enough that if you offered me a choice, I'd go with Shimano. It's the same reason that I had my LBS exchange the SPD pedals that came in a package deal I bought for the Look style that I always used.

I'm sure that Campy and SRAM are just fine. The business is too competitive for them to charge top price and not deliver top quality. I'm also sure that I would get comfortable with the different systems very quickly, but they are different.

At that time of things the two set is going to artwork o.k.. It only comes all the way down to weight, fee, and ergonomics. in terms of fee probable SRAM crimson is the sparkling winner. in terms of weight and ergonomics great checklist weighs below Dura-Ace 9000 and with regard to comparable to checklist. For digital moving Dura-Ace Di2 9070 is 'greater fee-effective' and lighter than the Campagnolo EPS, yet provided that the two team instruments are over $4000 you may desire to purchase finished motorcycles that are particularly reliable for that quantity. notwithstanding some reviewers have stated the buttons are too close on the Di2 and that they want the feel of EPS fantastically with gloves.
