How can I get help for her?

My sister has been through a lot. She never knew her dad and her daughter's father has been screwed up ever since he came home from the military. Now he is absent from his daughter's life. My sister was raped twice (date rape and by our uncle) when she was younger. She has her own place, graduated from college and doing fairly well. However she has serious issues with men. She refuses to get involved with anyone (and I can understand why) but she gets extremely angry when she feels as though she is being dominated by any male. I know it stems from her past but how can she go about getting help for her over-the-top temper?

Your sister need counseling to be able to put her past behind. She has to realize that he behavior is not healthy not only for her but for her child. Go yourself to a counselor and talk to them and find out how and what you can say to help her. You can't force her into therapy, don't try to. She will turn on you in a heartbeat. If you have an open trusting relationship, than you could try to talk to her about her emotions and how do deal with them.
