Shouldn't the Phoenix "Los Suns" really be "Los Sols"?
Maybe they don't want to show too much love. LOL

Haha, been thinking about that ever since they first brought out those dumb jersey's. Someone needs to tell them that if you want to pick up fans in Mexico start by playing games there and drop the Spanglish. Only thing that should be on the jersey is Sols.

reason is that there are other teams with the name "sol."
Sports
* Stadium of Light, home of Sunderland A.F.C.
* Miami Sol, a defunct Women's National Basketball Association team
* Los Angeles Sol, a defunct professional soccer team
* Sonoma County Sol, an American soccer team
In addition, the name of this busted team is Suns, which will get tossed by the Lakers! Nuff said!

Actually the proper plural would be "Los Soles." In Spanish a noun that ends in a consonant is pluralized by adding "es." The only NBA team that puts the proper Spanish for their name on their Noche Latina jerseys is the Knicks with Nueva York. Even the Spurs and Heat screw it up by putting "Los Spurs" and "El Heat" on their Noche Latina jerseys. The proper words would be "Las Espuelas" and "El Calor" respectively.

The 'Suns' is the name of the team, so no matter what language it is, it's always the 'Suns', just like every other team that does this. It's just dumb that they put "the" on the jersey. It's not like any jerseys say "The Suns"

I was thinking that too... I guess that they wanted it "half spanish/half english" to represent both cultures as one? Got me.
