Which hotel in Hawaii should my husband and I stay in?
My husband and I are taking a vacation to Hawaii. We are considering the Royal Hawaiian resort or the Halekulani.
Anyone who have visited Hawaii or who lives in Hawaii, could you please give us some advice on where to go and stay.
Thanks!
Greatly Appreciated

If you're even considering the Royal Hawaiian or Halekulani then money isn't an issue with you. Therefore I would suggest either one of them or the Kahala Hotel, Hilton Hawaiian Village, or the Moana Surfrider. They are all considered the nicest and most luxurious hotels on Oahu. If you're looking for something outside of Waikiki then either the Kahala (as mentioned before) or the Turtle Bay Resort on the north shore.

The Halekulani has great ambience and dining, but the rooms are way too small.
The Royal Hawaiian just got renovated and is a good choice. If you want to get out of Waikiki and be closer to golf courses, then the Ihilani Resort at Ko Olina is an excellent choice. It has its own semi-private lagoons.
I'd stay away from Kahala. The dolphin attraction is good, but the resort needs a serious face lift and some botox. Unless you can get a corner unit with panoramic oceanview, I'd skip the Trump Waikiki as well.

Royal Hawaiian is pink, beautiful, very royal and on the beach. Halekulani is so at the end of Waikiki that you'd best enjoy the Royal Hawaiian, some of the suggestions were for cheaper hotels not all on the water.
P.S. There is no Kahala Hilton in Honolulu It was named and bought by Kahala Mandarin many many years ago. That is where Reagan and Princess Di stayed at, it;'s secluded and on the beach and very private luxury hotel. For the same price you may want the Mandarin Hotel.

The ritz carlton hotel in maui is amazing!!! They have an amazing spa that do many couples massages! The people there are soooooo friendly and very professional. They have a sushi resturant, a beech bar for lunch, a resterunt partly ouride for dinner and one inside the main building! They also have such a clean and beatiful long beach that takes about 30 seconds to walk to from your room! And the veiws from the beach are undisturbed and not many people go on that beach. The hotel has an amazing pool!! I hope you consider it cause I had the best time ever there! and there are surfing spots nearby! Maui is considered the most beatiful island in hawaii! Hope this helps!! xxxx

My husband & I personally stayed in the Ohana Waikiki Beachcomber in March. We asked for the Oceanview room......which wasn't really much of an ocean view (more like a partial ocean view). BUT, it was a great hotel. Very quite at night. I didn't hear our neighbors through the walls like I usually do in most other hotels & it's reasonably priced & close to Waikiki Beach.
We're going again in August, but we're checking out the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel this time around.
