250 four stroke or 450 four stroke motocross?
I raced dirt bikes since i was five then my dad took my bike away when i was 13 or 14 and now i am 19 and 5'10" (186 lbs) and wanna get back into it. I never really rode the "big bikes" so should i get a 250 four stroke or a 450 four stroke? would a 250 be too small for me? i wanna be able to get enough air to clear doubles and triples.

Don't get ahead of yourself bud...lots of people think that the immense power of a 450 will make them faster...not at allllllll. A 450 is a very heavy bike, and pretty much goes whichever way it wants. If you're just getting back on bikes a 250 is perfect...once you find that it doesn't have enough power, THEN go on a 450 :)

in case you prefer the motocross sort i could would desire to declare the CRF250R with the Yamaha an intensive 2nd. the reason I say that is because of the fact the 04-05 CRF has greater low end torque than any of the different 250F MX motorcycles. that is purely an surprising engine that works super in each concern. In 06 they moved the capacity up larger interior the RPM selection. From what i'm listening to nonetheless that is recommended to evaluate a CRF250X woods sort. This bike is spectacular interior the woods and does very stable on jumps besides. yet another plus to the X sort is that it may maximum in all probability no longer have been run as confusing because of the fact the MX sort. you will desire to have the skill to discover a severe high quality 05 for purely 4K. in case you purchase the R sort attempt to get it from somebody that may not a racer and ideally a senior rider. in case you do no longer rev the crap out of those motorcycles they final alright. in case you purchase one from an 18 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old a classification racer you are able to guess it has considered greater suited days.

No, a 250 wouldn't be too small. A 250 still peaks at nearly 40 HP, and trust me, is pretty fast. You could go with a 450, but I heard that they aren't as fun and you get a lot more tired riding them. I would get a 250 for the best experience. But it's up to you and I encourage you to try them both out to get a feel for each one. Good luck!

Get a 250f as you can always get a bigger bike once you get back into it. Have the suspension done to deal with your weight and you will be fine
