MS Money 2007 is a good Family and small business software and has many features yet I know of many accounts that prefer to use several others. Here is a good listing of your basic accounting software for OS X

Peachtree, QuickBooks, MYOB and even Excel best answer for you is which is easier for you and you family as well what format does your account like your receipts.

To me I found Peachtree well to complex so I went to use MYOB which was not really the best for an accountant we are now using Excel and QuickBooks. Still most others use Peachtree and Excel for their books.

well lets see here, you could buy a mac, ask yourself a simple question, are you rich. Macs cost waaay more than PC's on the price per performance scale. There is nothing really wrong with macs other than the cost factor, and the software factor. Macs are harder to find software for than PC's. PC software is everywhere, and mac software is a bit of a hunt to find if you do not live in a major metro area. My recomendation, when it comes to laptops, go with either Dell or Lenova.
