Are you disappointed in the human race?
It breaks my heart that so many people are so heartless. Unless it affects them it doesn't matter right? When the lady down the street loses her job and then her home and her kids are taken away, no one cares. When a little 4 yr old girl is dying of cancer people say, praying for her won't help. When the old man dies in his apartment and isn't discovered for 2 weeks, no one cares. Why are humans so freakin unfeeling? Why? Why?Why?Why? Can't you see that there are more important things in life than a new pair of hundred dollar shoes, or making it "big"! There are so many people out there that we can help. Even without money. People that need advice, or prayers, or just someone to talk to. Please open your hearts to others. Even if you don't believe in God or spirituality , you can still make a difference.
A little story:
Man and grandson are walking along the beach, the night before there was a big storm hundreds of starfish wash up on shore and are dying. As they walk and talk, grandpa stops and picks up a starfish and throws it back into the water. After about 20 minutes of this the grandson wondering why he's doing that, says , grandpa why do you keep bending down with your bad back and picking up starfish and throwing them back into the water? There are hundreds. How do you think that what your doing matters? The grandfather bends down and picks up another one, he says to the little boy, you see this one, The grandson says yeah, The grandfather replies: IT MATTERS TO THIS ONE! and he throws it into the water! The little boy thinks for a second and begins following suit.
The moral?
1) It matters to this one.
2) people follow suit.
Set an example, take your face away from the mirror, and see what's going on around you.

That's a great story - thanks! You're right, everyone can make a difference. Sadly people are "too busy" or don't look beyond their own well-being.
Here's something that surprised me and put things into context for me around February....
There was pretty bad snow around and it was quite dangerous walking/driving etc. My girlfriend and I were going to do a supermarket shop - the snow didn't look like clearing up anytime soon so we figured we might as well do it in case it got worse. We knocked on our elderly neighbours, both next door and over the rod from us to see if they needed anything from the supermarket when we were there. The elderly lady thanked us but said she was fine, her son had made it through the day before with everything they needed. As we were getting n the car to leave, her elderly husband came to the door and shouted a "thank you - that was really kind" across to us before we left. The next day, their son came to see them again, and he made a point of coming to see us and thanking us for seeing if his parents needed anything the day before. He said it was good to know that other people were looking out for his parents etc. Now my point is this... we asked as it seemed like the normal thing to do with such adverse weather conditions, and yet received thanks from three people who seemed "shocked" that we'd asked in the first place. Should this not be the norm rather than the exception!!?? It's a sad society when this kind of community-spirit now comes as a surprise - i'm in the UK and i don't know how it is in other countries, but sadly we seem to have an "i'm all right Jack, and screw everyone else" approach to life which I find extremely depressing. Take a look outside and think what you could do. Couldn't agree more!

all of us have particular expectancies of ways the human race could and shouldnt behave yet not all conform to this. i think of racist anybody is rather ignorant and people from different races could be prevalent as equals. In that sense i'm dissatisfied in the human race that we cant see previous skin coloration or faith etc. yet i think of that many tend to stereotpye the full race on what some anybody is like.yet people do tend to forget thats its not purely the 'white' race that are racist there are a number of colored people who're too, and that they do purely what we do decide an entire race on a small team of persons. I wouldnt say i hate the international inhabitants. I purely think of that persons could be slightly much less judgmental and shallow and ignorant and be slightly greater open minded to biracial infants and interracial relationships and different races on the full. yet whether interracial relationships greater effective you will constantly get people who're racist, its human nature i think. Im not sure if women are greater judgemental as i understand alot fo females who might desire as much as now a black guy and have a biracial new child, i think of theyre sooo gorgeous! :) i think of you in case you dont anticipate something from the human race you cant be dissatisfied.

u gotta keep in mine that r u also trying to do what u want to do? Caring about society and so on?
Cuz if u r just showing sympathy, it is also no use. u r just gunna be like the prayers people
But yeah, most of the part, im disappointed in human race. Just last week, one of my senior, also my best friend, stole tests from the school. The thing that shocked me the most is that this person would always get A and his average grade was 4.2 ( he took AP) he betrayed my trust and also 'kill' the school reputation
But i guess one day, im gunna come to a point where 'sometimes,' i just dnt care bout things

People must look after themselves first then look after ther people afterall if you work hard and become well off then you can help alot more then somebody who cant even manage themselves.
but i know the human race is terrible but not all of it its like countrys national traits:
america is quite loud and outgoing by national instinct(of course there are exceptions as always)
England is very reserved unjudging and welcoming(if your not irish or scottish)
germany seams to always be apologising and feeling guilty about their past crimes(not really their fault)

That's very well said.
I am disapponted with the liberals, not that I'm trying to use your beautiful writing as an opportunity to only be political. It's just that I'd like to wring their necks, as they are the opposite of the man and his grandson, and they have contempt and disregard for everything that's good and pure.
