It's been "in" since 1692.
Hell, maybe even earlier. I believe Jesus wore black nail polish.

I think black nail polish is a versatile color that works for everyone just like wearing a black shirt or leggings goes well with almost everything. Don't listen to people who think you're emo / goth cause I don't believe in those things either so if I get told that I just ignore it cause it doesn't and shouldn't bother me. People only think it's goth or emo because that's the stereotypical goth / emo person who wears all black and stuff. It's really lame but that's just how the world is today, judgemental & stereotypical.

Yes. I'm not goth or emo in any way, shape, or form yet I still wear black nail polish. I matches everything and looks sweet so why not! :)

Yeah, neutral colors are always in. I see Stacy London with black nails all the time. But for summer, I wouldn't wear black. It's time for lighter polish colors.

YESYESYES!!!! I'm a fashion student and black polish isn't just for 13 year old angsty kids anymore. Trust me! lol as long as you don't chip or chew it so it looks raggy then it'll be alright. :)

It is still "in" but I have noticed celebrities and stylists move on to less darker shades. such as navy and deep purple and gray too.
