Yes as of right now all those cards are legal in all tourny types. So you can play anything from type 1 to type 2 and in between.
As why they are "Cheap" is because someone started with a low price hoping that someone will bid high enough to make a profit

Taldiira's advice is spot on. with 4x doomblade you should be able to deal with most of your freidns big guys. id also stick a Corrupt in there if you do go mono black. its a really nice way to deal with creatures or win the game.
