1.Click Start.
2.Point to All Programs.
3.Point to Accessories.
4.Point to System Tools.
5.Click System Restore.
6.Follow the instructions on the wizard.

That's right to use the Windows built-in System Restore tool. The disadvantage is that you may lose programs that you installed and purchased. So before doing it, make sure you can get the programs back.
I use Time Shuttle to backup my computer and restore system anytime if required. It just takes your system to the history time that you backed up. No file loss, no program loss.
