First loves are always difficult to get over. The best way to get over someone is to find other guys to hang out with and date and keep yourself busy busy busy. I'm sure you wont fall in love with someone else anytime soon, but finding a guy who's fun to be around and is sweet and nice, is a good way to distract yourself from your first love.

think of it this way: "life goes on", there is no point of you hanging on to what the two of you once had, first loves are the hardest to move on from, however time heals everything, even a broken heart. it hurts not to be with him and i understand what thats like but sometimes its for the best to move on and forget that one person who stole your heart. try to go to the beach that usually helps, or at night try looking at the stars, when you feel like your thinking of him then try thinking of something else, try to remind yourself that you deserve better and that you want to move one, not because you have to but because you want to. let the past be the past leave him in your past and move on.
