you don't need to take things to the police level just start first with your phone service provider
my PSP they offer feature that allow the costumers to block the phone # they want , this service are not for free they charge me for it if i want add it to my phone line
but this service would not do me good because i'm receiving a lot of marketing calls every day from different #s
but i find i save more money when i just have call display and Answer Machine, so i can see who is calling and i decide if i can answer or not
good luck

If it's a cell phone that this person is calling you from, you probably won't be able to block it. If it is a land line, look over what features your service has. If it doesn't have something called selective phone block or something like that, then call your phone service provider and ask them to add that to your line. If things start getting too annoying, to the point of getting harassed, document everything: How many phone calls from what number and at what time (even if it is a cell phone) and go to your local police station. They can ask the person bothering you to stop calling. If this person doesn't, then you'll be able to take legal action.
Add: To the Pharaoh guy: you can register your phones in the National Do Not Call List and your numbers can get removed from solicitors calling lists. If you continue to receive calls from solicitors, let them know that your number is on the National Do Not Call list and that they should remove you from theirs... I definitely have caller identity and an answering device. I in straightforward terms %. up calls that i decide to settle for. in case you have somebody many times calling you and harassing you call the telephone business enterprise and clarify it to them. If that is telemarketers that are annoying you i think of there is a few variety of record which you will placed your self on so as that they gained't call you anymore.
