can someone explain how to solve this math problem?

square root(128y^3) - y square root(98y) + square root(50y^3)

    factor each term inside the square roots until you get pairs of equal factors:

    sqrt(128y^3)-y*sqrt(98y)+sqrt(50y^3)

    =sqrt(8*8*2*y*y*y)-y*sqrt(7*7*2*y)+sqrt(5*5*2*y*y*y)

    for each pair, move one outside the root and place it in front and this just remove the other of the pair

    =8*y*sqrt(2*y)-7*y*sqrt(2*y)+5*y*sqrt(2*y)

    =8y*sqrt(2y)-7y*sqrt(2y)+5y*sqrt(2y)

    now collect like terms:

    =20y*sqrt(2y)
