can south africans go to the maldives without a visa?

    Yes they can.

    On arrival a visa can be issued for a max. stay of 30 days.

    Visitors must hold a passport which is valid during the period of stay.

    Visitors must hold tickets and documents required for their return/onward journey.

    Visitors entering the Maldives without a hotel reservation or a Maldivian sponsor must hold at least US$100 per person + US$ 50 per day to cover intended duration of stay.
