What is the best BEACH restaurant between Huntington Beach and Laguna Beach?

Ruby's Diner on the pier in Huntington Beach would probably be your best bet. It's got hamburgers, milkshakes and is relatively cheap for a tourist restaurant. I wouldn't call it the best beach restaurant, but it is given your parameters. There is one in Newport/Crystal Cove, but it only serves milkshakes.

If you want something less touristy there is TK Burger on PCH in Huntington Beach. It's in an old sea-foam green painted house and has a great patio. It's good and has better prices than Ruby's. They don't have shakes though. You can stop at the Ruby's Shake Shack in Newport for that and a great view.

Ruby's on the Huntington Beach Pier or the Balboa Pier are GREAT. You're over the water, and can even have a meal on the roof (Balboa Pier) if it's not too cloudy or windy.

I know it's not in your preference but you should go to Las Brisas in Laguna Beach, and also they have a good breakfast buffet there.
