Questions about the NBA and Registration?
Once i get out of HS, i want to join the NBA. But i have a question (well, actually 2). 1. Can you just join a team whenever you want, or do you have to be drafted? and 2. For example, if i want to play for the SAS, Do i have to be a resident in that city and/or state? or does that not matter?

I can only assume that you never read the Sports Page, never watch ESPN, never watch your local news and never read any news or sports magazines because you do not appear to know anything about Professional Sports in the United States. I would recommend that you start watching ESPN Sports Center and pay attention, you have a lot to learn. Millions of people would like to join the NBA, but there are only 30 teams and they don't carry that many players and NBA Teams select many of the best players in the world. It's not like it was 50 years ago, when almost all the players came from the United States, now NBA Scouts look at talent around the world. Good luck, you're going to need it..the best you can hope for is to go to announced tryouts and hope you impress someone.
