Poisoning of Cats,Cats and their control. laws should be made.?
as we are told that there are no laws regarding cats and their control. please don`t give me that bull about freedom to roam and cannot be controlled. an area with many cats can become a nightmare for people living in it. Lets put a limit on the amount of cats a person can own. a limit of cats in an area. when the authorities become unable or unwilling to deal with a problem then people take action to correct an imbalance. who hell can blame them - Not Me!

Here! Here! Stout fellow!
Seriously, I agree 100%. Here in the states people actually go to jail for controlling the populations of cats that have overrun their properties.
In the small rural town where I live, we are absolutely overrun by cats. Their population grows unchecked month after month, year after year. They breed like vermin, and they are vermin.
Some are house pets who's owners allow them to roam unfixed to drop litter upon litter of kittens in every nook and cranny left unattended. Their feral kittens, in turn, are dropping more litters on their own. We are up to our asses in cats.
On any night, play an electric torch across any back yard in my town and you will see, literally, a sea of green eyes. It freaks you out the first time you see them at night and you realize just how many there are.
The problem is worsened by a few softhearted people who put out food for the wild cats.
The rabbits and other small animals are completely gone (eaten) and the cats literally surround every bird feeder waiting for lunch to land until the birds don't even come 'round anymore. There is not a square inch of the outside that does not reek of cat urine. You can't sleep for the cat fights and screeching contests.
Every car, porch, and hand rail is covered in muddy paw prints. Every garbage night, garbage is strewn on the streets. Urine saturates everything. Blood from cat fights gets tracked over every porch. Half eaten squirrels and birds show up everywhere (rabbits are long gone). There are cats on each car, under each car, in the wheel well of each car, in each garage, under each porch. If you leave your car windows open 3 inches they will make a bed inside your car. In the winter they climb in the engine block to keep warm (a pretty mess to clean up when you start the car and fur comes flying out). You can see them on the roof ridges in the day and throngs of them everywhere at night. It is totally and utterly out of control. If your town isn't this bad- give it a year or two and you'll see I am not exagerating.
There are some sane communities who are letting people have control of their properties again. In one state they actually put a $2.00 per pelt bounty on cats to try and stop the out of control problem.
You will find that as long as no one sees what you are doing they will not mind in least if the cats disappear. It's like a steak, everyone enjoys it as long as they don't see how it got to the table. If the neighbors don't see how you capture the cats or what became of them, they will all be happy that they are not there anymore. Whether you use a quiet pellet gun or a box trap, whether you bury them or set them free in the country, I highly recommend you use the cover of darkness to regain control of your property, regardless of the law.
Good luck, take control of your life, and take responsibility for your actions- a better life awaits you if you are willing to work for it.
PS: to all the people who wuv de itty bitty fuzzy wuzzy kittikens... You are not being real or have never have your entire life impacted by feline vermin. They are no different than rats- they are a blight that needs to be controlled. The real solution, of course, is for cat owners to take responsibility for the felines they are holding captive, in two ways. First have them fixed, second control where they allow the cats to go. Of course it is easier to complain about how mean others are to cute little animals than it is to show some control and responsibility in your own life. Fuzzy wuzzy hypocrites is what you are.
In nature, any locality can support a population of feral cats if the balance of nature is left in check. We remove the balance by letting house cats drop endless litters while supplying the eternal mother with food and shelter, and allowing the eternal fathers to roam anywhere they please, and by do-gooders feeding wild cat populations- thereby creating a situation of unchecked population.
Starvation is cruel, but it is how the balance is struck. I have grown up where feral cats lived and died like any other wild animal without running amok. I now live in a town that demonstrates what happens when the balance is removed- rampant population explosion. It must be controlled, whether the law allows it or not.
PPS: Completely unrelated... you put a lump of coal in the water with peeled potatoes to keep them from discolouring because the coal raises the acidity of the water, nuetralizing to some extent the alkyline surface of the cut potatoe. It is the alkyline moisture coming in contact with the air that causes discolouration. Coal was used instead of vinegar because it was cheaper and more effective- the water became more acidic the longer the coal was left in just in relationship to the potatoe needing more neutralization- sorry I didn't see your other question in time to answer it properly... Let us both drink to the wisdom of our ancestors tonight.
You know that granny would have skinned the cats for a nice collar, cooked them for supper, and made fork handles of their shin bones before she allowed them to piss on everything she owned and run roughshod through the food garden.

I agree with you. Cats are not and cannot be controlled once they are let loose. Why should a cat be let loose with no control. If a dog owner allowed their animal to go out and roam free then there would be an outcry with dog wardens and dog catchers all over the place.
If a person has a cat it should stay indoors, or in the garage, like a dog and only taken for a walk on a lead, like a dog. Same goes for any animal as pigs are now becoming domestic pets.
Other peoples cats mess in neighbours gardens. I know that most of them bury it but it is only inches deep. When gardening and planting out borders I have often experience the past presence of a cat.

I really dislike unruly children. I hate having my seat on an airplane kicked by them. I really don't like when they run under my feet or scream their heads off in restaurants where I'm trying to mind my own business and have a nice dinner. Does that mean I have a right to poison them? Some people's cats are their children and you are sick for suggesting its OK to kill them. if you don't like living among cats move to an area where there is not a lot of people.
That is not to say I support people who let their cats roam everywhere...I think its too dangerous to allow cats to roam and its also unfair to people who end up getting cats crapping in their garden or terrorising their pets that live in the garden. I would support laws that said cats have to be kept on the owners property. However poisoning them is not the answer. People like YOU, on the other hand...

Mexico is between the main secure places interior the international. precise alongside with Washington DC, Chicago and California. once you're a criminal it particularly is. In Texas, Oklahoma, Florida or Virginia; in case you attempt to kill, rob or rape somebody those unsophisticated hicks could shoot you. Heck while you're in Vermont or New Hampshire a type of weird and wonderful little gun toting yankees could shoot you. plenty safer to run dope in Mexico. I additionally think of that the politicians are slightly scared to work together in tyranny. In Chicago and DC the politicians do no longer seem to concern the human beings. It plenty safer in Mexico and DC.

Make a law that everyone must spay and neuter their pets. There is no need to poison animals.

Well that's your opinion and your perfectly entitled to it. My opinion however, is that you are a very sad individual. I mean what did they ever do to you? Did you get scratched as a child by a cat or something. Try picking on something your own size.
