Is it appropriate to look teachers in the eye?
I'm a curious student, I do like to learn, so I pay attention. Thing is, I think I make teachers uncomfortable. While they teach, I will look into their eyes, when they notice this, they also stare at me. They do look sort of confused. I'm not sure if they are uncomfortable? I also don't want them thinking I'm crushing, because then conversations would be awkward.
So, is it appropriate to look at them into the eyes?

Your teacher is secretly wishing that all of his students pay attention like you do.
Hope this helps!

Absolutely! Teachers want their students to be engaged in the topic at hand. If you make eye contact, we know that you are paying attention. By all means, keep it up!

Yes its ok, its the one thing that a teacher looks for as a sign that the student is paying attention.

As long as you do not look at the teacher in a menacing way, that is not bad. Sometimes over eye contact can get a little creepy.

yeah, making eye contact shows you're interested. even when i'm not, if he/she looks in my direction, i'll look at them. it was kinda funny/weird when my friends and i always noticed how blue our bald teacher's eyes were. certain eye colors look too intense so teachers like that would be hard to look at. when my science teacher sits on the desk in front of me, he always looks at me, so i just got used to it. he's a teacher i like, so it's better than trying to always look at a teacher you hate. haha, just look them in the eye if you like them, and if you don't, try not to avert your eyes. just glance at them and then look at something else.
so to answer the question, yes it's definitely appropriate. they're teaching! where else will you look if you want to learn?
wow, this question made me answer so much!

I do it all the time (unless I'm not paying attention) as it shows the teacher that you are paying attention and you are showing interest in what they are teaching you :)

always make eye contact always if you make eye contact that lets the teacher that you are strong and confident and know what you are doing and if it makes them uncomfortable that's good when you have that much power it means they are intimidated by your authority in their classroom keep it up.
