Music + Extraneous Noise = Unique Soundscapes...?
At the moment, I'm here in my bookshop, listening to a yummy CD of Albinoni oboe concertos. Outside, further down the street, there are some Harley Davidson motorbikes - a very strange, throbbing basso continuo, and a bunch of giggly, squawking teenage girls adding another layer to the "orchestration," competing with the solo oboe. And now someone's having a sneezing fit in the other room - an interesting explosive staccato effect.
Wonder if Albinoni would like this interpretation of his music?
What bizarre music/ambient sound combo are you experiencing at the moment? Listen carefully...
Have fun!

Ha! You create a lovely picture. Chaotic, but lovely.
I'm listening to Albeniz's La Vega at the mo, whilst my cat complains about something outside my window. Birds are chirping, the postman just left a letter into our mailbox, and that's it. Gotta love the countryside. No Harley Davidsons here!
I have to say, the cat is really adding a level of misery to this piece...

Just the occasional truck that passes by on the main street outside the development. The hiss of the air brakes at the stop sign and the engine revs and gear changes until the sound disappears a block or so away.
A few times a night the sound of an ambulance siren gets overshadowed by the incessant barking of our dog.
... Little to do for it than to ignore and pretend that my piano playing is much better than it really is.

The owner of the dog needs to know how to "operate" the dog, same way you can get into a car that's in perfect running order but if you don't know how to drive you won't have much luck making the car go anywhere. If the owner doesn't know how to maintain the training, the dog will soon become untrained again. Read more here https://tr.im/gPKax
People seem to think that once a dog is trained, that's it. Not true. You must reinforce the dog's training every single day in some way. It's best if the owner and the dog go together to get trained. As a professional trainer once said to me "We can train any dog in 2 days. It takes longer to train the owners

Great question. Nothing unique or interesting at the moment, but later... a crackling fire, a light breeze thru the trees that twinkles my chimes, seagulls (sometimes geese) and guitar music, I think, tonight. I could go for some Albinoni, though... I'll have to check my mood. = )

Not sure that Albinoni would approve but John Cage certainly would.
I'm listening to the Dvorak String Quintet, the never ending passing sirens and sub-woofers of downtown Brooklyn, my roommate calling his GF, and the hum of my refrigerator.

It is getting harder to find, but it is there. Guitar effects companies make it easy to recreate tones with their Signature Series pedals, so no one is really bringing "new" tones to the music industry, just re-popularizing old ones. Major props to the artists who do make their own sound and don't cop others. The bands that are original and truly talented are the ones who play the local bars week after week, and the bands who re-invent the old tones and songs are the ones getting the record deals.

There's currently a obnoxiously loud bass accompanying a Mozart piano concerto, as well as off-and-on yelling and laughter. Muted conversation adds a subtle layer to the orchestration.
And this is why I hate Fridays.

I have that experience at work all the time. Someone banging, someone cutting, air tools ratcheting softer hammering, a cacophony of sounds trying to mingle with whatever piece is playing on my mp3 player.
Not classical but what the heck

I'm listening to the climax of Bolero while my computer fan is whirring, and the cars outside whizzes by the busy arterial road.

Hence, electronica music.
Listen to Love's Almighty by Telepopmusik. Beautiful writing as well as use of "background noise".
