http://www.ju90.co.uk/blog/butterfly.jpg

My little brother caught one and is wondering what it is called :]

Update:

he already let it go, just kept it for a little while to show people :]

Thank you :]

and he named it Teddy Roosevelt, so "admiral" was really fitting!

    It's the Red Admiral.

-Vanessa Gonerilla, a species, is found in New Zealand.

-Vanessa Atalanta, a species, is found in temperate Europe, Asia and North America.

-Vanessa Indica, a species, that is also known as the Indian Red Admiral, is found in Asia.

The 1 you found might be the Vanessa Atalanta.
