I need help with my Alaskan Malamute, any ideas?

My 14 month old Mal is wonderful in every way but one. When he is outside on his 100 ft lead he jumps up and bites (play biting but it still hurts) and pushes (front paws) me constantly. I have no issue with him on a leash he is wonderful. Yet every single day he tortures me when I am just trying to be outside playing with him. If we are playing fetch he is great and he jumps at me the moment he is done playing. He does not do this to the 2 yr old, 5 yr old or the 19 yr old. He tries it with my hubby and when hubby yells no sit he stops. Me, he just won't stop. This boy is now well over 100 pounds and he could really hurt me. I take care of him in every way and he behaves very well 96% of the time so if I could just be safe playing in the yard with the rest of the family I would have the perfect dog.

Any ideas would be so greatly appreciated. I do not want to spend my life walking in the yard with a squirt bottle of water like on trainer suggested to me. It works but I don't like it.

Thank you!

Update:

Putting your knee in his chest does nothing. He is my height. He is not frustrated on his lead, it is 100 feet long and it is usually not tied to the tree when we are all outside together.

Where are the dog trainers or top contributors of dogs today?

SHOVE YOUR KNEE INTO HIS CHEST EACH TIME HE TRIES IT and yell NO, and make him sit..part of the problem is that he is tethhered on a lead, he doesnt have the freedom to roam the full yard and he is frustrated. Its been proven that dogs tethered all the time are more frustrated and angry.

  • when he jumps on you, turn around and ignore him. if he play bites you yelp loudly and turn away. eventually , he will get it that you don't want to play that way and he will stop

show him who's boss. right before he does scare the shiza out of him and he most likely won't do it again.
