what are some great malaysian dishes or foods?Im from the states?

Malaysia and Singapore foods contained foods from many different ethnic groups.

Rendang is an Indonesian dish that is pretty popular in Malaysia.

Malaysian got their own version of banana leaf rice (an Indian dish) which could get more spicy than the Indian version.

Sarawak laksa is a rice noodle dish that is pretty popular.

Be warned, those dishes aren't that westerner friendly. :)

Put 1 cup rice, 1 cups water in a rice cooker. Switch it on. Watch it cook. When it's cooked, spoon as much as you like on to your plate. Serve with sprinkle of salt or sweet soy sauce or sambal belacan and keropok. --- 'm answering for Yaya.. for recipe you can search pun la what.
