Adobo-I prefer it marinated overnight with the sauce and spices.

Beef caldereta-sinfully delicious! but cholesterol overload, hehehe!

Sinigang sa miso-fish with miso soup!

Tinolang manok with lots of maluggay leaves and ginger! my father loves to cook this for me! :)

Thinly sliced beef liver sauteed in ginger, onions, with soy sauce, drops of vinegar/wine,and red peppers,-cooked under low-medium heat.Taste best when marinated for a few hours before cooking. It's my favorite liver spread, sandwiched between 2 hot pan de sal,or toasted bread. My father loves to cook this for me.

Sisig-doesn't look appetizing, but when I tasted it,I was hooked,I liked it hot and spicy.

Halo-halo-with lots of fresh fruits, not the preserve fruits. With big chunks of ube jam and sinfully leche-flan,and milky pastillas.Topped with ice cream! yummmmmy!

Kilawin/kinilaw- fresh from the ocean tuna fish kilawin is the best for me.

What I did before was, I brought my friend to a mall and we went to the fast food area. Look for a stall that sells filipino food. So whatever intrested her, she politely ask for a taste, which they happiliy obliged. Here the food are already precooked and displayed, reheating is done when requested.

This way you have many choices, see it first and taste it before the actual ordering. Not a bad deal. What she liked most was the Sinigang na Baboy ( A pork based soup with sweet sour taste ). Then she had Halo Halo ( mixed fruit and beans with crushed ice) for dessert.

Then again food are better enjoyed with a good company. If you need one, gimme a buzz.

    Happy Hunting !!

One of the most visible Hispanic legacies is the prevalence of Spanish surnames among Filipinos... This peculiarity, unique among the people of Asia, came as a result of a colonial decree for the systematic distribution of family names and implementation of the Spanish naming system on the inhabitants of the Philippines...
