2002 VW Golf 6 disc changer won't work?

While I'm asking questions about my car, I have a 6 disc changer in the rear of my VW but it won't read up front on the stereo. As much as I dig my cassette player, I'd love to listen to cd's. Any one know how to fix it, other than taking it to a car stereo shop? Or am I better off just sticking with my super cool tape deck?

WHEN THERE'S A PROBLEM WITH THE CHANGER IT WILL SAY MAGAZINE OR DISC, MEANING EITHER THE MAGAZINE IS NOT THERE OR PUT IN INCORRECTLY. SAME GOES FOR CD'S THEY SHOULD FACING LABEL UP.

LOOK AT THE MAGAZINE IT'S NUMBERED 1-6 STARTING FROM THE BOTTOM.

in the event that they have been a similar mileage and value it can be a "No brainer" and the diesel could win in all respects. communicate of diesels being extra high priced to maintain is nonsense. you have 3 filters on the diesel and 3 on the petrol( yet no person ever adjustments the gasoline filter out on the petrol automobile) The oil replace is the main inexpensive mechanic you may ever have and ignore "Longlife servicing" and do it at 10K miles. So the place is the extra value to provider the diesel automobile ? The TDI is swifter, it runs a similar brakes because of the fact the petrol, the exhaust will final very lots longer than the petrol and its extra decrease priced to run. yet because of the fact the others properly factor out, there is not any factor paying a shed load extra money for the diesel in case you won't be able to recoup it via doing miles consistent with annum.
