Although I cannot tell you the answer to your question, I would think that 1 week would be enough time. One thing I have heard is that after a few days, some people write a short thank-you note to their interviewer, thanking them for taking time out of their busy schedule to talk to you and that you appreciate it. You can also say something like you look forward to the opportunity of working on their team, etc, etc, etc. I do not remember from when I worked at JCP (Fashion Valley) how long they took before they let me know I was hired and I would hope that they let you know even if you are not (not fun waiting for a reply that never comes), although they are probably not under obligation to do it.

    Good Luck!

When I worked there, it was around Thanksgiving, and it took them about 1-2 weeks before I even got a call for an interview, but then they hired me on the spot. From other experiences, it could take up to 3 weeks after the interview to hear back, depending on how many people applied. I think you have a good shot at the associate, but the for the manager position, they probably need someone full time (40 hrs/week, or close to it). Give them 1-2 weeks, if you don't hear anything, call them and speak to a human resources person and say, "Hi my name is _____, I had an interview on _______ (date) with _______________ (interviewers name) for the _______ position. I haven't heard anything back so I would like to follow up." Oh, and don't ask for a salary, they will tell you what you'll make. You only "talk salary" when it's your long term job. Good luck!
