Water Damage, Env2 - help?

So last night I was taking a bath and sometimes txt while I'm waiting for the tub to completely fill up. (which is bad, I know!) I was answering one of my friend's txts when I accidentally dropped my Env2 phone in the water! I got it out right away and threw it on the towel. I got out of the tub, etc., and took out the battery and dried off both the phone and the battery. Then I found a bag of old rice and threw both in it all night. When I tried it this morning the front screen flickered, but the inside worked fine, so I sent a few txts and turned it back off and back into the rice it went! I wanted to test it again later but now if I attempt to turn it on it will either just show the Verizon logo and nothing else every 15 seconds, or it will completely start up and I can start to send a txt and then it will go black.

It's back in the rice now, but I'm not sure what to do.. I feel like there's some hope, or at least I'm hoping there is. I got this phone almost two years ago, so I'm sure there isn't a warranty or anything that would help me get it replaced for cheap. I was supposed to get a new phone this summer (with my family plan I'm supposed to get money off for every 1.5 - 2 years I think, or something), but it's going to be really tough to wait until mid-end of june (when I got this one two years ago)..

I'm attempting to take it apart and wipe it down with Q-Tips, but one side's being rather tough to mess with...

So... any help or suggestions ? :(

Ok, this isn't supposed to be known for consumers BUT every manager has the discretion to allow an "early upgrade". It's highly frowned upon by the company but it IS doable. So, go into the store, speak with a rep. Ask if you're eligible to upgrade. If not, ask them (kindly!) if you can speak to a manager as you desperately need a phone but don't want to pay full retail for it. Plea your case with the manager and hopefully he/she will allow this.

It's possible you might have to try a couple of stores before finding one who will help but it IS possible. I worked at Verizon in retail so I know it can be done. I did it for desperate cases a handful of times. It's much easier to get away with when the upgrade date is within 4 months or so.

    GOOD LUCK! :)

if you mean somehow get the company to replace it then no, your best bet is to try and find a used phone for sale online. and dont try telling the phone company that the phone unexplainably stopped working, they have a white sticker on the back of most phones that turns red if it comes in contact with water.

Genius buddy is right. permit it dry completely because of the water injury. i might wait 2 days or use a hair dryer on low. If that doesn't artwork, you have gotten shorted the board and it will prefer alternative.stable success.
