Bamboo stalks appear to be dead.?
I have 3 stalks of bamboo in my kitchen. One of them appears to be dead but it has new growth on the top. What is the best course of action? Should I cut off the old roots? Cut off just the new growth and put it in water by itself? Or will the green color come back?
I wasn't sure if I should separate the one that appears dead from the healthy ones to preserve it. I got bamboo b/c people said you couldn't kill it. My thumb is not green in the slightest but this bamboo has lasted 4 years.

Remove any dead stalks and the roots. Since bamboo plants are arranged close together, any disease or problem with one will affect the one next to it. I learned from experience!

If they flip yellow then that specific stalk has died and you'll be able to reduce it at flooring stage. Other stalks will shoot up. B amboo is an excessively hardy and invasive plant that spreads underground earlier than shotting to the skin. If components of the plant die off its because of make room for brand spanking new progress in order that one other aspect of the plant will have the vitamins and minerals it demands for progress.

You're doing better than me. My only bamboo plant lasted several months is all!
Give me an ivy or mother-in-laws tongue. They live forever and you can multiply them yourself.
