4 AnswersInfectious Diseases3 years agoMy 6 year old has a very itchy scalp. Any ideas?
She's been itching for awhile but her sister doesn't and they share a brush. I've checked for lice and only find a very few tiny white specs, no bugs. I tried dandruff shampoo and it didn't help at all, plus there don't seem to be enough white specs to be dandruff. I want to help her but I don't know where to turn next. Please help!
2 AnswersSkin Conditions4 years agoCan someone collect spousal social security payments before they become 62?
I work full time and am turning 62. My husband is on disability already. We're raising adopted grandchildren and need all the income we can get.
Can he collect at 58? Can he collect at all since he's already on disability?
3 AnswersOther - Politics & Government6 years agoHow old do you have to be to qualify for SS spousal benefits?
I still work full time but my younger husband is on disability. I will be 62 soon but he is only 58. Could he collect spousal benefits from my SS now or would he have to wait till he is 62?
We're raising adopted grandchildren and could use the extra income. I won't start collecting till 70 or so.
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics6 years agoMy just turned 4 year old has changed her behavior in alarming ways.?
She turned 4 on 10/17 and moved from a car seat to a booster. She s started unbuckling her seat belt while the car is moving. A couple of evenings ago at nearly dark she decided to find someone to play with. She went to a neighbors house and asked if they had kids, alone, near dark, across the street! She s never allowed out front alone, or to go across the street alone or to go to someone else s house alone. She s climbing up inside the refrigerator to get her own yogurt instead of asking for it. I understand she s grown up some but she s still only 4!

2 AnswersParenting7 years agoneed help with an adopted cat.?
He's about a year old. He poops everywhere, licks plates and eats the dog's food and then throws up. We were told he was litter box trained and he does use it sometimes. We've had him 6 or 7 weeks already and it's a daily grind to find the spots and clean them up. the last few days we've put him in a bathroom with food, water and litter box to try and train him to use it. He will pee in the litter but generally poops in the bathtub next to it.
Don't want to have to return him, but if he won't change his ways we will have to.
This is my first time with a cat and I don't know what else to try. The bathroom idea was what I found in my online searches.
Personal experience anyone?
2 AnswersCats7 years agofighting a parental rights termination?
My step son believes he can get his reversed so he can take his kids back from his father and me. They were all legally adopted over a year ago. He voluntarily signed his rights away. The judge would laugh in his face, right?
7 AnswersAdoption7 years agoHow do you deal with an 8 year old thief and liar?
He spent 6 years with parents who were thieves and liars. He is a special needs child who has difficulty understanding ideas and questions. What can I tell him that will help him to understand that this is wrong? He is my grandson and adopted son.
4 AnswersGrade-Schooler8 years agoMy toddler's hair is half way down her back but her nails don't grow at all?
Her doctor thought it was interesting but had no other information. It doesn't seem at all normal to me. We've never seen her bite, chew or clip them and in 2 years we've never needed to clip her nails. Her brother & sister need clipped every other week or so. She eats a wide variety of foods and drinks milk. Any ideas at all?
Thank you for any information. I can't even find a web site that might help.
1 AnswerToddler & Preschooler8 years agoWhy don't my toddler's nails grow?
We've had custody of her most of her 2 & 1/2 year life and haven't had to trim finger or toe nails even once. Her doctor just said "interesting" when we told her about it. The nails are perfect, pink & healthy and she is not chewing on them. Why wouldn't they grow??
2 AnswersToddler & Preschooler8 years agoAdoptive Grandparents, what do you consider your kids/grandkids now?
We did this in November and I don't know how to introduce them to new people. Are they my children? (I'm obviously too old for that!) Are they my grandchildren really anymore? Should I bring up the adoption all the time?
The kids will always know they are adopted so there's no problem with them hearing me say it.
8 AnswersAdoption8 years agoDo you see anything wrong with the street name Plains Crest Dr.?
I work for a homebuilder and this is our newest street name. It hit me as soon as I saw it.
5 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoHow to help my 4 year old to stop wetting the bed?
She and her sibs were taken by CPS and turned over to us (Grandparents) so I understand she has some reason to be traumatized but she's been here over a year and a half and is fully adopted. She was potty trained before she was taken. Now she has to wear a diaper at night and sometimes poops on herself, then smears it all over the place. I don't know how to help her. Please help!
11 AnswersToddler & Preschooler9 years agoHead lice problems. I think I've got them gone only to see them again the next month.?
I have 3 little grandkids living with us now. One or the other has caught and spread head lice 5 or 6 times in the last year. We've tried conditioner, commercial lice shampoo, eucalyptus oil, cleaned the whole house, etc. Been reading up on it. Anyone ever use Neem Oil or listerine? How did they work? Do you have any other recommendations? They love my fine hair and just make me suffer and the kids don't like it either.
