did yahoo answers get rid of the thumbs down option?

Not completely. It's still in the testing phase. I had the "new" rating system yesterday (with the four options), and today I have the old thumb up/thumb down buttons. And the day before yesterday, I had the old system and then the new one before that! It's disappearing and reappearing for everyone. The staff is making adjustments based on how YA members use the new buttons, and I'm sure the current features aren't going to be the ones that stay around forever.

I don't think getting rid of the thumbs down would be the best decision, either, but if it really IS gone, there is a way to CORRECT wrong answers without breaking the rules. You can simply say, "Despite what the above said, the correct answer is..." -- which does not violate the guidelines at all. And for the really bad answers that DO break the rules... just report those.

that would make the score significant. do no longer enable all people to furnish a score till they make a remark. this would possibly not provide up abusive TD scores, yet will enable the receiver to understand the TD's meant to be valuable from the valueless TD's. This has been asked for a protracted time. For some reason YAT won't furnish it. The residing house windows stay QnA helps comments to be made with each question and answer.

I agree. Good and bad answers need to be acknowledged.
