Do you think Arizona should cut off the power to LA?

Arizona is now threatening to cut off the power to LA after LA voted to boycott Arizona businesses...

If LA doesn't want to do business with Arizona companies, should they accept Arizona's power?

L.A.'s mayor is playing hardball with Arizona about boycotts, huh? Well, is Mayor Villaraigosa ready to boycott all that power Arizona supplies to the grid that helps run L.A....??? Hmmmm, I wonder! All Arizona has to do is turn off their "contribution" for a week or two during the Mid August heat and watch what happens! LOL! I heard that Arizona gest some of our prisoners also... if this is true, perhaps Arizona should boycott receiving our bad guys!?

The Federal government has the final say-so in interstate commerce, and I am confident that cutting off the power would be a breach of contract.

In other words... this is just another two-bit bureaucrat trying to make a name for himself by making Tea Bag noise.

Particularly since California Utility companies own a larger share of the Palo Verde power plant than arizona does.

[The Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, commonly referred to as Palo Verde Power Plant, is a nuclear power plant located in Wintersburg, Arizona[2], about 45 miles (80 km) west of central Phoenix, and is currently the largest nuclear generation facility in the United States, averaging over 3.2 gigawatts (GW) of electrical power production in 2003[1] to serve approximately 4 million people. Arizona Public Service (APS) owns the largest portion (29.1%) of the station and operates the facility. Other owners include Salt River Project (17.5%), El Paso Electric Co. (15.8%), Southern California Edison (15.8%), PNM Resources (10.2%), Southern California Public Power Authority (5.9%), and the Los Angeles Dept. of Water & Power (5.7%)]

Add a 50% tax to the power/water to fight illegal immigration in Arizona. Let California pay for it and I bet you the California voters will thank Mr. Mayor at his next election...

If LA is going to boycott Arizona they cannot pick and choose which products to boycott.

No,if they want to act like a bunch of children, then Arizona should stand up for themselves again and cut them off, until they grow up.

No just raise the price every month until LA changes there tune.

Or cut back let em have a few brownouts see how they feel after that.

Can't have your cake and eat it too! The citizens of LA are not on board with this action. Let the people confront their leadership or light a candle. CHOOSE!

It would be interesting to see power off. Win win for both side. :)
