Is buy a condo in Florida a bad idea?

Hi,

I read that many part of Florida are zoned as flood-areas and require flood, wind and homeowner insurance, (probably Orlandois out of flood area?)

I also read that this insurance alone can add up to 300-400/month easily;

For an investor that want to buy a property to rent to a tenant I believe there will be a very little cash

left every month after paying insurance and condo fees,

Is buy a condo in Florida a bad idea ?

thanks

    Scratch that idea, not because of flooding or wind or insurance. You won't find any suitable investor financing on a condo in Florida so luckily the market will save you from yourself. If you pay cash for it, do so at your own peril and love it to death, because you will own it that long since it won't sell.
